Objectives of the Project

ObjectivesLINPILCARE:

  • Supports practitioners and schools, starting with real problems and moving towards ways of teaching and learning in an evidence based way;
  • Develops a renewed way of thinking by the use of a Common Conceptual Frame of Reference where practitioner inquiry, access to the results of academic research and effective professional learning communities are linked.
  • Develops toolboxes with instruments, protocols, materials, case studies and access to the results of academic research, in order to support practitioners;
  • Develops IST modules and valorized LRN and international IST.

Partners pool their expertise and create a set of outcomes that are valid across the Member States. The project consists of the development of a Common Conceptual Frame of Reference (CCFR) and TOOLBOXES. The CCFR and tools in the toolboxes result in IST modules and local, regional, national and international valorized IST courses.

The professional development of practitioners in the use of evidence-informed teaching is a priority. The ultimate goal is to improve the teaching and the learning of each student. The Common Frame of Reference invites practitioners to reflect on their practice in a cyclical way. The practical tools within the toolboxes will help them to achieve this. The aim is for schools and teachers to be better supported in evidence based teaching and learning. In doing so, the project aims to develop three intellectual outcomes (The Common Conceptual Frame of Reference, TOOLBOXES, local, regional, national (LRN) and international IST) and multiplier events in supporting schools and teachers. The results will be the development of:

  • A Common Conceptual Frame of Reference (CCFR) on evidence based teaching that links practitioner inquiry with the results of academic research via effective professional learning communities.
  • Toolboxes via OER on

(1) Practitioner inquiry,

(2) Access to results of academic research,

(3) Professional learning communities and on

(4) Links between them.

These toolboxes contain a range of instruments, protocols, materials and case studies to support teachers and schools to develop evidence-informed teaching and learning.

  • Contextualized Training Events

(1) IST modules,

(2) Local, regional, nationally recognised IST courses and

(3) International recognised IST-courses based on the pillars of the project and how practitioner inquiry and the results of academic research link to evidence based teaching and learning via effective professional learning communities.

  • Two international conference on the topic of the project.
  • Two international conferences on the topic of Evidence Based Teaching and Learning

Note: During the IST-courses, transparency and recognition tools will be used to ensure that learned skills can be easily recognised across borders.
